We are seeking a highly motivated inside salesperson in the greater Warrior, AL area.

JOB TITLE: INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE.
Immediate Supervisor: Vice President-Sales & Business Development.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative is a focal point for serving existing customers and developing new customers and business opportunities. In this role, you will team with both outside sales as well as directly with customers, to act as a primary liaison for customer opportunities, from quotation development to order entry to order management. This position is one of the key faces of the company to the marketplace and, therefore, requires the ability to deal with customers effectively and communicate clearly within the organization to make sure each stakeholder understands their role in customer satisfaction. This requires the ability to pay close attention to detail and to work harmoniously with other employees, giving the assistance necessary to satisfy customer needs.

Position responsibilities:
  • Generates revenue by responding to incoming phone calls and emails to develop quotations, obtain orders, understand and interpret technical requirements, provide technical information, and develop accounts and sales opportunities.
  • Develop customer quotations for motor solutions, utilizing the tools and resources the company has made available. This includes advising on product application, availability, correct part, catalog or issue number, shipping charges, and price.
  • Track all quotations to insure timely follow-up on customer inquiries.
  • Process customer orders and manage them as required to ensure on time shipment customer satisfaction.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Work with 3rd party vendor/partners as needed to determine product availability, application, price, shipping dates, and delivery charges.
  • Act as the communication funnel for both customers and internal departments to ensure clear communication and accurate, timely updates on projects.
  • Update job proficiencies by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
  • Support the delivery of quality results by following company rules and guidelines, and offering recommendations for policy and procedure improvements.
  • Accepts ownership for maintaining and expanding sales and accomplishing all assigned tasks.
  • Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Promote a professional company image through prompt, thorough, and courteous customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum level of education: high school diploma. Some post high school technical education is preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in sales and customer service in a technical manufacturing and/or distribution environment is highly desirable.
